Indian 2

Indian 2 is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action thriller directed by S. Shankar. Serving as a sequel to the 1996 film "Indian," it features Kamal Haasan reprising his role as Senapathy, an aging freedom fighter turned vigilante combating corruption. The film was released worldwide on July 12, 2024, in standard and IMAX formats. Critics offered mixed reviews, praising Haasan's performance but noting issues with the film's runtime and character development. Commercially, "Indian 2" grossed approximately ₹151 crore globally, ranking among the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2024. Due to its extensive length, the film was divided into two parts, with the continuation, "Indian 3: War Mode," scheduled for release in 2025.
