The Greatest of All Time

The Greatest of All Time (also marketed as "GOAT") is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language spy action thriller directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. The film features Vijay in multiple roles, alongside an ensemble cast including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Abyukta Manikandan.

The narrative centers on Gandhi, a seasoned hostage negotiator and field agent for the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS). After years of service, he is called back for a critical mission that sets him on a dangerous collision course with his own past.

Released on October 3, 2024, the film received mixed reviews. Critics praised Vijay's performance and the film's action sequences but noted a lack of substance in the plot. Simon Abrams of RogerEbert.com commented, "With 'The Greatest of All Time,' Vijay celebrates himself in very literal and often amusing ways."
