War 2

War 2 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action-thriller film directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It serves as a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster "War" and is the sixth installment in YRF's Spy Universe, following films like "Ek Tha Tiger," "Tiger Zinda Hai," "War," "Pathaan," and "Tiger 3."

The film is scheduled for theatrical release on August 14, 2025, coinciding with the Indian Independence Day weekend.

In "War 2," Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, a RAW agent who was depicted as going rogue in the first film. This time, he is set to face off against N. T. Rama Rao Jr., marking a significant addition to the cast. Kiara Advani also joins the ensemble as the leading lady.

Principal photography for "War 2" commenced in October 2023, with shooting locations including Mumbai, Salamanca, Abu Dhabi, and various parts of Italy such as Venice, Lake Como, Tuscany, Naples, the Sorrento Peninsula, and the Amalfi Coast.

The film is expected to continue the high-octane action and intricate espionage narrative established in its predecessor, further expanding the interconnected stories within YRF's Spy Universe.
