Yashoda

Yashoda is an Indian Telugu thriller-action film directed by D.S.K, which is currently in the works. The plot focuses on a surrogate mother who gets caught up in a conspiracy and struggles to survive.

Although it was not Kawsar K's most successful commercial work, the film was well received thanks to the multifaceted performance of actress Samantha in the movie ‘Yashoda’, and, more specifically, the tension-filled storyline. Many in the audience were also entertained by the movie’s action, with Samantha appearing in many fight scenes herself.

Yashoda’s victory became an important moment in Samantha’s career, when she proved her place among the first actresses in the Telugu cinema industry. Thanks to universal themes – motherhood, trust, love, betrayal – and endurance within force of will, the movie captured the attention of an action adventure audience.
